FEAR (Let's Kick Its Ass)

Let’s talk about fear.
Not the kind that keeps you from touching a hot stove or stepping in front of traffic (that kind is useful).
I mean the fear that shows up when you’re about to do something new—something bold.
The fear that whispers:
“What if I fail?”
“What will they think?”
“What if I’m not enough?”
That fear? You’ve got to kick its ass.
🧠 The Real Enemy Isn’t Fear Itself
Fear wants to keep you safe.
But in today’s world, “safe” usually means stuck.
Fear is behind every missed opportunity.
Every dream deferred.
Every time someone settles for less than what they’re capable of.
And here’s what they don’t teach in school:
You don’t overcome fear by waiting for it to leave. You overcome it by moving forward in spite of it.
📚 A Fear Story You Might Know…
There’s a famous story about Eleanor Roosevelt.
As a young woman, she was painfully shy. Public speaking terrified her.
Yet she became one of the most influential voices of the 20th century.
How?
She did the thing that scared her—again and again.
In her own words:
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.”
That’s it right there.
Fear doesn’t disappear.
It gets quieter when you prove to yourself that you’re bigger than it.
🛠️ Here’s How You Kick Fear’s Ass
This is practical. Not just motivational fluff.
1. Name the Fear.
What exactly are you afraid of? Be honest.
2. Write the Worst-Case Scenario.
What’s the worst that could realistically happen?
3. Now Flip It.
What’s the best that could happen?
4. Take the First Step.
Doesn’t have to be big—just something. Action is the antidote.
5. Celebrate That Move.
Every step through fear builds momentum and confidence.
🔥 The Hidden Secret Most People Miss
You’ve heard “feel the fear and do it anyway.” That’s great advice.
But here’s the twist most people don’t talk about:
Fear is a sign you’re getting close to something that matters.
It shows up at the edge of your comfort zone—just before a breakthrough.
So the next time fear rises up, don’t run.
Recognize it.
Use it.
Then move forward anyway.
